An exciting new scientific instrument unveiled! Albuquerque's Explora Museum added a new exhibit to the "Shapes of Sounds"
Featuring the new CymaScope, this is an exhibition you won't want to miss. This new addition to the exhibit opened on January 19th, it allows the invisible world of sound to be seen for the first time. Visitors of all ages will be able to see their own voice patterns as well as those of bird song, whale song and wild animals.
John S. Reid, of Sonic Age America, is the inventor and developer of the CymaScope, "We are most effective in making new discoveries when we are able to engage the powerful visual acuity of our brains." The CymaScope is an important new scientific instrument that makes sound visible. The CymaScope does for sound what the microscope did for medical science and the telescope did for cosmology.
Applications for this new instrument include helping autistic and deaf children to learn to speak as well as being a new tool for the study of many sciences.
But the most exciting aspect of the CymaScope from Explora's point of view is that children and adults will be able to see matter come to life before their eyes. The ingredient that creates this special magic is sound. The amazing patterns that emerge, once seen, are never forgotten.
